(Tonic wrote this last September. I just edited some spelling and grammar.)***Once upon a time, there lived a beautiful princess. Her name was Jaime and she was 8 years old. Jaime and her parents lived in a big, flowery but lonely castle. Jaime could not go out of the castle; the farthest place she had been to was their garden.
Everyday she would go to their garden and wish that some day she can explore their village. She did everything just to go out the castle but she failed.
For example she begged her parents but her parents were too strict and mean. She even tried to sneak out at night, but the soldiers always caught her.
Jaime was a lonely girl. She was a girl with no friends.
One morning, an old woman was peeping through the gate. Jamie walked to the gate and talked to the old woman.
"Good morning, madam! What do you need?’’
The old woman thought that that she was a sweet, obedient, light hearted girl, so she replied, "I’m looking for Princess Jaime West."
Jaime immediately answered. "Oh, I’m Jaime West.’’
Then the old woman asked, "Are you the teenage girl who couldn’t go out of the castle?’’
Jaime sadly replied, "Oh yes! Is there a way that you can let me out?’’
"Yes!" said the old woman.
"But how?" asked Jaime.
"I will stop the time and I will open the gate. I will give you 1 hour to explore your neighborhood. But if you go beyond 1 hour, I will have to restart the time wherever you are."
Jaime tried it and, guess what, it actually worked! Jaime enjoyed the outside but she didn’t realize that she had only 1 minute before the hour was up. When she saw her watch she yelled, "Oh my God! I only have 1 minute to go to that old woman!’’
She can almost see the people moving slowly. She wanted to run but she was moving slowly. Then the people started to move fast. Jaime was so tense. She squeezed into the crowd and finally, she can see their castle! She ran towards it, but suddenly someone blocked her way!
It was a nasty looking person. The nasty looking person grabbed her and dragged her into a dark place. He pulled a very sharp and long knife. He was about to stab her but before he can stab her, one of their soldiers was right behind them holding a shot gun. The soldier was about to shoot but Jaime stopped him. She said she will just call the police and have the nasty looking person arrested. The soldier agreed.
The soldier and Jaime went home. When Jaime was home she saw that her parents were at the gate. They scolded Jaime but Jaime was not sad or even angry. She was happy because it was her fault; if she didn’t agree with the old woman, she would have been safe at home.
So Jaime learned a lesson. She finally understood why she was not allowed to go out of the castle. She was no longer sad that she couldn’t go out of the castle.
